What is Toastmasters?
Toastmasters International is a world leader non profit organization in communication and leadership development. Our membership is 270,000 strong. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 14,000 clubs in 149 countries that make up our global network of meeting locations. Toastmasters Bogotá is the first official club to be opened in Colombia.

How does a meeting work?
A typical meeting includes:
- Prepared speeches delivered by members
- Table Topics", where members and guests give one to two-minute impromptu speeches
- Speech evaluations with constructive feedback
- Voting for Best Speaker, Best Evaluator, and Best Table Topics Speaker
Every meeting is designed to help members improve through practice and supportive feedback.
Guests
Can I participate even if I'm not a member?
Absolutely – you’re very welcome to join us as a guest. You may attend up to three sessions, and you’re invited to take part in the Table Topics activity free of charge.
Do I need a high English proficiency level to participate?
No. You can have a basic level of English to start just attending the sessions. But if you would like to become an official member and start doing presentations, you will need at least an intermediate level of English so you can fulfill the objectives for each presentation.
Membership
How can I join?
You’re very welcome to attend any meeting as a guest. At the end of the session, simply let us know that you’re interested in becoming a member, and our officers will gladly guide you through the next steps.
Can I participate in the Toastmasters session?
Yes — as a guest, you’re welcome to participate in the Table Topics segment. Guests may attend up to three sessions before deciding whether they’d like to join the club.

How much does membership cost?
Attending as a guest is completely free.
If you decide to become a member and start delivering prepared speeches, membership is paid every six months.

- Renewing Members: COP 280,000*
These prices are for reference only, as the final amount may vary depending on the dollar exchange rate and the club’s internal costs.
